Lake Natron, Tanzania

  Lake Natron is quite unusual lake. It is located in Tanzania near the border with Kenya. It is very close to Mount Kilimanjaro and Serengeti plains. It looks like a rug in red and pink color during the dry season. It is very beautiful to watch it on that time. But during the dry season there is very hot, and temperature of lake water can be over than 50 °C. The lake have the highest PH levels of the water. It can burn your skin and eyes. Some of the animals who haven’t experience with those kind of water can die and turn into the stone sculptures. The photographer Nick Brandt has been capturing pictures of these animals. You can see them at the last picture.
